We are pleased you are interested in doing business with McGhee Aviation. We would first like to introduce our Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bermun McGhee. He is a native of Talladega, AL. He currently holds a commercial rotorcraft w/ instrument rating. He started out in aviation at an early age of 17 as an avionics technician for the National Guard and Pemco World Air Service and went on to earn his Associates Degree in Avionics Technology and Bachelors Degree in Aviation Management. He is currently working on his Masters Degree in Aviation Management. He was selected to go to flight school with the army national guard at the age of 18, where he went on to receive his flight training. He combined both his avionics experience with the flight training from the army and opened the door to corporate flying. He was later contracted to work on Cessna Citations as an Avionics Tech. While working with the corporate jets he learned a lot about corporate flying and the needs of corporate customers. He later accepted a contract offered by America West Airlines to lead the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) Avionics Project for 757s and 737s. This allowed him to work hand in hand with the FAA on test flights as well as engineering. He has been flying for more than 10 years. His unit was mobilized in December 2003 where he flew with the army for 2 years during Operation Nobel Eagle and Iraqi Freedom. While carrying out the army missions he flew numerous VIP missions with passengers such as; Congressmen, Senators and many more VIP's which again are hand in hand with corporate flying. As you can see Mr. McGhee has a broad array of experience in aviation.
Mr. McGhee started McGhee Aviation Inc after flying friends and family around whenever they wanted to take photos or just to see what flying was like. So he started doing small tours for family friends by renting a Schweitzer 300cbi and flying them around the Orlando area. Since McGhee Aviation has added to our fleet Bell 206 B3s and Cessna Citation Jets and all helicopters and jets have leather seats, A/C, high skids and DVD/CD system and we are in the process of adding more wonderful helicopters and jets.
If you or your clients need any particular item while on board, McGhee Aviation will make it happen. We will pick you or your clients up from your home/estate or from the airport and fly you to wherever you need to go. We would like to offer to you or your clients VIP transportation to and from NASCAR, MLB, NBA and NFL events and any other flying needs you may have Worldwide. We are licensed and insured.
